When you choose to watch a movie like Jumper, you know you have to let your brains take a backseat and enjoy the cinematic thrills. Admire the gorgeous sets and scenery, be in awe of the intriguing special effects of teleporting and lust after the two leads, that is, if Hayden Christensen and Rachel Bilson are your cup of tea. You may also to see how the talented tap dancing British boy Jamie Bell looks like all grown up, sans ballet shoes, bravely taking on the bad guys solo.
Jumper enjoys an interesting premise that is taken from a loose adaptation of Steven Gould’s novel of the same name. I read somewhere that everything else about the novel is not put into the film, which makes me feel like giving the novel a chance.
A watchable enough movie which does nothing for me. Having said that, science fiction fans will probably enjoy the premise nonetheless.
